How it works
X% of Y is X ÷ 100 × Y, so 15% of 200 is 30. To find what percent X is of Y, divide X by Y and multiply by 100: 30 of 200 is 15%.
Percentage change is (new − old) ÷ old × 100. Going from 50 to 75 is a 50% increase, and from 80 to 60 is a 25% decrease. Change from zero is undefined, because nothing can be divided by zero.
